Staple-Set Brushes
Staple-Set Brushes are one of the most common types of brush construction because they can be manufactured in almost an infinite variety of shapes. Staple-set brushes are made by inserting a tuft of filament into a hole that is either drilled or molded into a block and secured with a metal staple.

Twisted In Wire Brushes
Twisted-In-Wire Brushes are also known as Bottle Brushes, Tube Brushes, or Spiral Brushes. They are named these things for the way they look and the things they clean. Twisted-In-Wire Brushes are made by taking a length of wire doubled over, placing bristle material in between the top and bottom of the doubled over wire, and twisting it up like a rubber band.

Wire Drawn Brushes
Wire Drawn Brushes are a variation of the staple set design. Instead of having the bristles stapled into place, the tufts are carefully sewn in by experienced craftspeople.
